Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Espinosa AD's Wanderson Loureiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Luiz Fernando Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Loureiro in the 12th minute of play forced União Cedrense FSCMZ's goalkeeper Delfim Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubens Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Prata having to interfere. If Rubens Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luiz Fernando Meira came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the União Cedrense FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fernando Meira couldn't finish the play. Valdo Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Monteiro having to interfere. Wanderson Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Delfim Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdo Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Monteiro having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, União Cedrense FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Loureiro came free, but Delfim Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Telmo Matos fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored União Cedrense FSCMZ's protests and gave Telmo Matos a yellow card for diving instead. Telmo Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Ulysses Linhares, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Luiz Fernando Meira came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the União Cedrense FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fernando Meira couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

51 minutes into the game, Wanderson Loureiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Delfim Monteiro. Wanderson Loureiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 55th minute, Luiz Fernando Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rubens Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Wilian Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Wanderson Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute Luiz Fernando Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delfim Monteiro made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Valdo Mangueira sent off a good shot on target. Luiz Fernando Meira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enéas Prata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espinosa AD's goalkeeper Enéas Prata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rubens Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 88 played minutes União Cedrense FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by José Valladares. Luiz Fernando Meira might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enéas Prata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Fernando Meira ran back to his position shaking his head. The União Cedrense FSCMZ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Espinosa AD's performance. The match ended with a win for Espinosa AD.
