The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vânderson Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho Neiva having to interfere. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Vânderson Andrade sped through Campinhas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adrianinho Neiva. Iuri Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho Neiva having to interfere. Iuri Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Adrianinho Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Campinhas FC's Adrianinho Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Andrade in the 24th minute of play. João Castro hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Iuri Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tapejara fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Gabriel Bertassi to strike the kick off in the second half. If Eliseu de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 55 minutes, Tiago Gabriel Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campinhas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Gabriel Bertassi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Campinhas FC's Adrianinho Neiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Campinhas FC from getting a goal against them. Egídio Braga came out of the goal and Eliseu de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 88 minutes, Ivo Vides mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tapejara and the Campinhas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ivo Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tiago Gabriel Bertassi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egídio Braga was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Gabriel Bertassi in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egídio Braga saved Tapejara from getting behind.
