Carlos Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Otávio Monteiro in the 6th minute. When Otávio Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elvira's protests and gave Otávio Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Otávio Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Umberto do Nascimento scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Narciso Messias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elvira's Narciso Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto do Nascimento in the 22nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Elvira's Carlos Alves threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thomás Meireles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Umberto do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Messias having to interfere. Elvira's Narciso Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto do Nascimento in the 39th minute of play. Umberto do Nascimento took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narciso Messias. Narciso Messias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomás Meireles was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Umberto do Nascimento lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Narciso Messias. After 56 played minutes Elvira got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Pimenta. Umberto do Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Narciso Messias was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wellington Queirós showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 59 minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Valério Barral notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Elvira's Narciso Messias. Narciso Messias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Umberto do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Augusto Hoffmann fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elvira's protests and gave Augusto Hoffmann a yellow card for diving instead. Ademir Meira's late challenge caught a Rapador AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademir Meira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elvira's goalkeeper Narciso Messias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rapador AD's Umberto do Nascimento was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
