Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sílvio Luiz Brito kicked off to start the match. Guga Macedo came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Tinguis's Carlos Augusto Lima. But to his dismay, Carlos Augusto Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Vargem defense, Carlos Augusto Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guga Macedo. The Vargem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guga Macedo should have stopped the shot. In the 12thth minute of the game Sílvio Luiz Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tinguis's Jorginho Proença was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guga Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubens Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, Tinguis's Armandinho da Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guga Macedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Carlos Augusto Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guga Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guga Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho da Fonseca in the 24th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adilson Munhoz got free with Jorginho Proença in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Adilson Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guga Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Lima in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Vargem's Bruno Barros seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bruno Barros the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vargem protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bruno Barros had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 41 minutes into the match, Vargem's goal looked a bit too open when Clóvis Machado came free, but Guga Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualter Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Sérgio Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wiliam Mangueira charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wiliam Mangueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th match minute, Tinguis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. If Gualter Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vargem! The goalkeeper, Guga Macedo, was totally fooled by Tinguis's Clóvis Machado, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 70th match minute, Vargem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute of the match Clóvis Machado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guga Macedo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Carlos Augusto Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tinguis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vargem the free kick. In the 72nd match minute, Tinguis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto Lima to maneuver through the defense. Guga Macedo made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Carlos Augusto Lima sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the match, Vargem's Gualter Aguiar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorginho Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gualter Aguiar scored 2-4 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorginho Proença, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Tinguis booed when Vargem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubens Lira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Guga Macedo made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Luiz Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorginho Proença was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Vargem's Sérgio Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luiz Brito in the 96th minute of play forced Tinguis's goalkeeper Jorginho Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tinguis's Jorginho Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter Aguiar in the 98th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tinguis walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
