After 3 played minutes Alexandrina AD got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Barreto. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edson Almeida in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christiano Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Almeida in the 11th minute of play forced Alexandrina AD's goalkeeper Christiano Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Alexandrina AD's Christiano Baiano got control of the ball when Aírton Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Alexandrina AD's Roberto Ribeiro got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Christiano Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Almeida in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Alfredo Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Astroworld's Aírton Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Hoffmann in the 40th minute of play forced Alexandrina AD's goalkeeper Christiano Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Rosado hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Aírton Silveira came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Christiano Baiano could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Astroworld's Edson Almeida slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Christiano Baiano. That made the score 1-0 after 43 minutes of play. When Tiago de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Astroworld fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 56th minute Aírton Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christiano Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aírton Silveira in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Aírton Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Baiano having to interfere. Aírton Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Alexandrina AD getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Roberto Ribeiro hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Alfredo Albuquerque sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Alexandrina AD's Christiano Baiano didn't even have to move. Christiano Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christiano Baiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edson Almeida's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. When Hélio Barreto fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alexandrina AD's protests and gave Hélio Barreto a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Silveira in the 89th minute of play forced Alexandrina AD's goalkeeper Christiano Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Carlos Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcinho Moraes having to interfere. Astroworld's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
