The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Giovani Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Astroworld's Marcinho Moraes got control of the ball when Giovani Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aírton Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Deliciosa's Dito Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Silveira in the 15th minute of play. Edson Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Simão having to interfere. Sílvio Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcinho Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Sílvio Gerber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aírton Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Simão having to interfere. Tales Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Deliciosa got a freekick which was hit by Willian de Queiroz. 37 minutes into the match, Astroworld's Alfredo Albuquerque broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dito Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Silveira in the 40th minute of the match. After 41 minutes of play, Astroworld's Aírton Silveira made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dito Simão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ivo Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giovani Miranda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edson Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Dito Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Perez's late challenge caught a Astroworld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Perez helped the player get up and apologised. Celso Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Aírton Silveira struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Dito Simão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Astroworld. Giovani Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcinho Moraes having to interfere. Rogério Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogério Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rogério Albuquerque hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. If Sílvio Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Gerber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcinho Moraes was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 80th minute Sílvio Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Giovani Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Deliciosa's Giovani Miranda in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Astroworld's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Astroworld had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
