Osvaldo de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of The Ducks's goalie and right to David Nogueira. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. The Ducks's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 17th minute, Dida Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doriva Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tales Torres in the 23rd minute of play. Pedro Augusto de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Doriva Quadros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Ducks. The Ducks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dagoberto Camargo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Dagoberto Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Nóbrega having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cerro Fc's Álvaro Salles got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Pedro Augusto de Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Nogueira during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. David Nogueira hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
