Romeu Tepedino scored 3-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tarcisio Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tarcisio Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Paraíba in the 38th minute of the match. Ciro Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni de Queirós having to interfere. After 42 minutes, Cesinha Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cauacu and the Coquiero players grew even worse after the yellow card.
