Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wellington Tasso took the kick off in the first half of the match. Célio Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute, Arlindo Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aírton Lucas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Rio Amazonas Club's José Carlos Castro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, José Carlos Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Amazonas Club's supporters rose to their feet, but José Carlos Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Célio Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Rio Amazonas Club's Aírton Lucas got control of the ball when Wellington Tasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Rio Amazonas Club's goalkeeper Aírton Lucas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wellington Tasso. Salgueiro's Célio Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Ribeiro in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wellington Tasso during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Salgueiro got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Tasso. 32 minutes into the game, Cido Silveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salgueiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio Amazonas Club the free kick. Manuel Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Rio Amazonas Club's goalkeeper Aírton Lucas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arlindo Gomes. Allan Batista hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. César de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wellington Tasso got free with Aírton Lucas in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when César de Brito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Carlos Castro made a great header on Rio Amazonas Club's corner, it was just that Salgueiro's Célio Sena managed to reach the ball for a save. Tiaguinho Leme made in the 56th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Walmyr Camargo however managed to control. Aírton Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Tiaguinho Leme made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Salgueiro's Arlindo Gomes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlindo Gomes in the 60th minute of play forced Rio Amazonas Club's goalkeeper Aírton Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Wellington Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salgueiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wellington Tasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 65 minutes of play Salgueiro's Cido Silveira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 66th minute, Cido Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arlindo Gomes during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Salgueiro getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Arlindo Gomes hit a great ball. César de Britos short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Célio Sena to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rio Amazonas Club's Aírton Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Gomes in the 73rd minute of play. Célio Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by César de Brito in the 79th minute. A sloppy throw-in by José Carlos Castro in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Salgueiro's Manuel Borges. Salgueiro's attentive Wellington Tasso managed to snatch the ball when Tiaguinho Leme made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. Arlindo Gomes was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Arlindo Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Célio Sena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of César de Brito's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. If Téo Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Rio Amazonas Club's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Borges came free, but Aírton Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Salgueiro players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
