Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Abelardo Ribeiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 13 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Rosado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Umberto Rodrigues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Umberto Rodrigues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristóvão Rosado's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Wágner de Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hílton Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Abelardo Ribeiro's late challenge caught a CA Santo André's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abelardo Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Tibagy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Tibagy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Godoi came free, but Umberto Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hílton Chaves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wágner de Mendonça in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes Tibagy FC got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos de Medeiros. After a defensive mix-up in Tibagy FC's zone, Cristóvão Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Umberto Rodrigues came out of the goal and Cristóvão Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristóvão Rosado in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Umberto Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute, Cristóvão Rosado made a precise shot to the right of Umberto Rodrigues. Tibagy FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Cristóvão Rosado struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Umberto Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Santo André. Charles Mota hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 41 played minutes, Tibagy FC's Luiz Fábio Garcia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hílton Chaves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tibagy FC reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristóvão Rosado in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Umberto Rodrigues saved Tibagy FC from getting behind. Albertinho Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristóvão Rosado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Cristóvão Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristóvão Rosado was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. CA Santo André's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 64 minutes into the match, Abelardo Ribeiro notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of CA Santo André's Hílton Chaves. Hílton Chaves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Umberto Rodrigues managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when CA Santo André's Cristóvão Rosado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Tibagy FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Marquinhos de Medeiros hit a great ball. In the 78th minute of the match Arthur Neves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hílton Chaves skillfully saved the ball. Albertinho Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, CA Santo André's Cristóvão Rosado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Umberto Rodrigues. Umberto Rodrigues yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. CA Santo André's Cristóvão Rosado got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Tibagy FC defense, Albertinho Chaves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Umberto Rodrigues. The Tibagy FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Umberto Rodrigues should have stopped the shot. Cristóvão Rosado was extremely unlucky when he, in the 97th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. CA Santo André's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
