With a little luck, Mapixi FC's Válbson do Nascimento got control of the ball when Maurício Netto tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Jairo da Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mapixi FC's protests and gave Jairo da Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th match minute, Mapixi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Macacos de Moletom FC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 47th minute of the game, when Luisinho Tande after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Mapixi FC's goal. Luisinho Tande was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Régis Cearense to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Maurício Netto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mapixi FC's Válbson do Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Macacos de Moletom FC's Kauã Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válbson do Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kauã Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamílton Moreno's late challenge caught a Macacos de Moletom FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hamílton Moreno helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes Mapixi FC got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Moreno. Válbson do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Netto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66thth minute of the game Maurício Netto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mapixi FC's Válbson do Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Macacos de Moletom FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisinho Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Maurício Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Válbson do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Válbson do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Netto in the 86th minute of play. Luisinho Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Válbson do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurício Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Válbson do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Tande in the 92nd minute of play. Régis Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Netto in the 96th minute of play forced Mapixi FC's goalkeeper Válbson do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Macacos de Moletom FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Mapixi FC to win.
