In the 5th minute, Gláuber Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Didi Seco struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Benjamim Trancoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FrangoMal FC. In the 7th match minute, Queda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Valadares to maneuver through the defense. Benjamim Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romário Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamim Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Didi Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute Carlos Augusto Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th match minute, FrangoMal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Donatello to maneuver through the defense. When FrangoMal FC's Didi Seco in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Queda's goalie prevented a goal. FrangoMal FC's Osvaldo Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Queiroz in the 42nd minute of play. Dito Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Queda's Bernardinho Tasso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldo Pitta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Augusto Capixaba to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Queda's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Capixaba came free, but Benjamim Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didi Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim Trancoso having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Carlos Augusto Capixaba fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Osvaldo Pitta came out of the goal and Bernardinho Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Queiroz in the 71st minute of play forced FrangoMal FC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, FrangoMal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabinho Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 79 minutes, Didi Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FrangoMal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Didi Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Benjamim Trancoso made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Didi Seco got free with Benjamim Trancoso in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute Carlos Augusto Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Augusto Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Bernardinho Tasso suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 93 minutes into the game, Romário Matorin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FrangoMal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Queda the free kick. After a rather tough play, FrangoMal FC's Romário Matorin got a free kick in the 94th minute. Didi Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
