Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Geovânio dos Santos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Jequitaia's zone, Geovânio dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dito Fantini came out of the goal and Geovânio dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute, Artur Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Jequitaia getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Artur Ferreira hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Palheta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Pinho came free, but Sebastião Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmir Pinho scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastião Rocha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sebastião Rocha came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Jequitaia's Gustavo Chaves. But to his dismay, Gustavo Chaves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Palheta FC booed when Jequitaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nando de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dito Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio dos Santos in the 26th minute of play. Walmir Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Sebastião Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Frederico Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Gustavo Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Geovânio dos Santos took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Dito Fantini to make any attempt to save it. In the 43rd match minute, Jequitaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Pinho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Pinho in the 47th minute of play forced Palheta FC's goalkeeper Sebastião Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Jequitaia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walmir Pinho to strike the kick off in the second half. With splendid footwork Walmir Pinho arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-3 by the left pole in the game's 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Chaves got free with Sebastião Rocha in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustavo Chaves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastião Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes, Rubinho Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palheta FC and the Jequitaia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palheta FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Jequitaia a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Enio Leal, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palheta FC's Sebastião Rocha. 1-4. Walmir Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastião Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Jerônimo do Vale hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Nando de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Rocha having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Palheta FC's Willian Pontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dito Fantini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Sebastião Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 84 minutes, Frederico Gerber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palheta FC and the Jequitaia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastião Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmir Pinho in the 86th minute of play. Gustavo Chaves in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sebastião Rocha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gustavo Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Sebastião Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
