Dênis Nunes started the match with the kick off. Dênis Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pacuri FC's Rui França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Nunes in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Edinho Gerber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rui França was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dênis Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. João Paulo Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramón de Queirós in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Salva Gøl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Xoio FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ramón de Queirós fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. João Paulo Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Botelho in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Vito de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Paulo Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ramón de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st match minute, Xoio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natã Moreira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Damião in the 34th minute of play forced Xoio FC's goalkeeper João Paulo Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Edinho Gerber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xoio FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pacuri FC the free kick. A collision led to Xoio FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Edinho Gerber hit a great ball. Pacuri FC's Ramón de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pacuri FC's Vito de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramón de Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but João Paulo Correia made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vito de Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Xoio FC's Edinho Gerber got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ramón de Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Paulo Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Nestor Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Ramón de Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Paulo Correia. Xoio FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramón de Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vito de Toledo in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Paulo Correia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Edinho Gerber was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. After 76 played minutes Xoio FC got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Gerber. After a defensive mix-up in Pacuri FC's zone, Natã Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui França came out of the goal and Natã Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonsinho Mattos charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonsinho Mattos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pacuri FC's Afonsinho Mattos got a free kick in the 88th minute. If Nestor Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Xoio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vito de Toledo came free, but João Paulo Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Ramón de Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Paulo Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pacuri FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Xoio FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
