Gualter Mazza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Reinaldo Koehler made a huge save. Macazeira's Gino Pena got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benê Cardozo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Gualter Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Koehler having to interfere. Gino Pena succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Pedro de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Fantini having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gualter Mazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reinaldo Koehler was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. A collision led to Vanderley getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Nuno do Vale hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Macazeira's Luisinho Maranhense tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gualter Mazza in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reinaldo Koehler saved Vanderley from getting behind. Gualter Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Koehler having to interfere. Gino Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Reinaldo Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Macazeira fully deserved thier win.
