Guto Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Dionísio Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 minutes, Tarcisio Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chatuba de Mesquita and the Gaurama players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tarcisio Duarte hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Chatuba de Mesquita's Pedrão Galvão got control of the ball when Donato Vianna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geovanni Azevedo in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luizão Negri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Gaurama's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Hermes came free, but Luizão Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luizão Negri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 47th minute, Gaurama's Dionísio Martins dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Geovanni Azevedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Luizão Negri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nildo Faustino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Patrick Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th match minute, Gaurama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibúrcio Brodel to maneuver through the defense.
