A hard shot 3 in the game by Marcel Recife from a close distance when the talented Raúl Godoi managed to make a qualified save. Bongo FC's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Conselho's Rodriguinho Lucas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raúl Godoi. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. In the 11th minute, Luiz Fabiano Queirós made a precise shot to the right of Fabrício Tande. Conselho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 15 minutes, Carlos Trancoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Conselho and the Bongo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bongo FC booed when Conselho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 minutes of play Conselho's Carlos Trancoso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 19 played minutes Conselho got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Trancoso. Júnior Barreto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Raúl Godoi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Luiz Fabiano Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Júnior Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Luiz Fabiano Queirós made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Conselho got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Amaral. In the 57th minute Marcel Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrício Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Queirós in the 60th minute of play. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Luiz Fabiano Queirós sped through Conselho's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabrício Tande. Marcel Recife struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Raúl Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Conselho. Raúl Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Recife in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Recife in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raúl Godoi saved Bongo FC from getting behind. With 78 minutes on the clock, Alexsandro de Alcântara commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Bongo FC:s Raúl Godoi showed great skill when he stopped Haroldo Lopez:s penalty. Marcel Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bongo FC's Raúl Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Recife in the 90th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Eduardo Amaral in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raúl Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Fabiano Queirós's late challenge caught a Conselho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fabiano Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, one of Bongo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bongo FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egídio Paiva during the 100th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
