The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Jacuhy getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Faustão Martins hit a great ball. After 19 minutes of play, Cisne Negro MZ Club's Adriano Gonçalves made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Faustino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fiori de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Perez having to interfere. Adriano Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger Faustino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. When Jacuhy's Jarbas da Costa in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Cisne Negro MZ Club booed when Jacuhy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 minutes, Wilian de Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cisne Negro MZ Club and the Jacuhy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cisne Negro MZ Club's Wilian de Mendonça got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jarbas da Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Igor Tande struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Roger Faustino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cisne Negro MZ Club. If Jarbas da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Paraense hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Adriano Gonçalves might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roger Faustino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adriano Gonçalves ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, Gilmar Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Cisne Negro MZ Club's Vitinho Paiva got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cisne Negro MZ Club's goalkeeper Ciro Perez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Igor Tande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cisne Negro MZ Club's Adriano Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Igor Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Faustino having to interfere. Faustão Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. A hard shot by Vitinho Paiva from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Roger Faustino's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Adriano Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Roger Faustino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cisne Negro MZ Club. After 80 played minutes Jacuhy got a freekick which was hit by Samuca Furtado. Adriano Gonçalves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Roger Faustino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Igor Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Faustino having to interfere.
