With a left leg Fabrício Tande saved Conselho from getting behind. Válter de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Lucas struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Roger Faustino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Conselho. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Rodriguinho Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Conselho's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodriguinho Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Faustino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute, Válter de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 played minutes, Conselho's Cristóvão Teixeira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roger Faustino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Conselho reached it. 22 minutes into the match, Conselho's Rodriguinho Lucas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Faustino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabrício Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacuhy's Jarbas da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conselho's Fabrício Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori de Amorim in the 29th minute of play. Fabrício Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd match minute, Conselho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Amaral to maneuver through the defense. If Marcel Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Marcel Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Conselho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Recife was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Conselho's Júnior Barreto got a free kick in the 40th minute. Roger Faustino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcel Recife's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodriguinho Lucas made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Conselho's Carlos Eduardo Amaral got a free kick in the 55th minute. With an all-out effort, Conselho's Roger Faustino threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rodriguinho Lucas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Jacuhy's Samuca Furtado got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Fabrício Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas da Costa in the 68th minute of the match. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Conselho's goalkeeper Fabrício Tande, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcel Recife could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Roger Faustino made a huge save. Jarbas da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Tande having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Conselho got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Lucas.
