Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carlos Eduardo Montenegro kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Jailson Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canal's supporters rose to their feet, but Jailson Prestes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Fábio Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Kalore's zone, Jailson Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fábio Cabral came out of the goal and Jailson Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luís Gustavo Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silvinho Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With his leg Abe Stad managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Kalore's Carlos Eduardo Montenegro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 24 minutes into the game, one of Kalore:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Canal. Célio Goiano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luiz Fábio Cabral. 0-1. 29 minutes into the game, Canal's Luís Gustavo Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fábio Cabral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The audience was convinced that Carlos Eduardo Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abe Stad was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. If Luís Gustavo Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Jailson Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jailson Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Luiz Fábio Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Edson Pontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kalore and the Canal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edson Pontes hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half Canal were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Canal were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Kalore's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Célio Goiano took the corner. If Jailson Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Kalore's zone, Luís Gustavo Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fábio Cabral came out of the goal and Luís Gustavo Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Germano Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Kalore's Ronaldinho Miranda got a free kick in the 71st minute. Silvinho Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Jailson Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jailson Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Luiz Fábio Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abe Stad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvinho Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jailson Prestes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Canal's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 96th minute Laerte Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abe Stad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Canal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kalore.
