Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Orlando Munhoz took the kick off in the first half of the match. Valdo Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdo Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute, Breno Camargo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 15 played minutes Iate SS got a freekick which was hit by Cesinha Gerber. After having played for 18 minutes, Orlando Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iate SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Munhoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 23 minutes, Diamantino de Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iate SS and the Corcovado players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Corcovado booed when Iate SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes Iate SS got a freekick which was hit by Breno Camargo. In the 31st minute, Breno Camargo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diamantino de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Valdo Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Anton Sikström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iate SS's Anton Sikström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Iate SS from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Corcovado's Fernando Barreto got a free kick in the 40th minute. Orlando Munhoz struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Zézinho Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iate SS. Breno Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Zézinho Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Valdo Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdo Velasco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Zé Augusto Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Sikström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Velasco in the 57th minute of play. Valdo Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Anton Sikström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Iate SS's Raimundo Meira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Corcovado. Corcovado's Zé Augusto Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Iate SS's Orlando Munhoz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdo Velasco in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Sikström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When José de Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Corcovado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José de Amorim couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Corcovado's zone, Jânio Pernambucano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zézinho Soares came out of the goal and Jânio Pernambucano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iate SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
