The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erivaldo Vaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Fábio Cearense made a huge save. Ramiro Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 9 played minutes Lavajinha SS got a freekick which was hit by Franklin do Valle. 12 minutes into the match, Ramiro Bezerra notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lavajinha SS's Abel de Andrade. Abel de Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fábio Cearense was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Remo Gonçalves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Remo Gonçalves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Valdemar de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If João Pedro Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the game, Lavajinha SS's Remo Gonçalves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Cearense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Remo Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Fábio Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conchas's Roger Dias managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Valdemar de Senna in the 37 minute of the game. Fábio Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 42nd minute Waldemar Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Nunes in the 46th minute of play. When João Pedro Goiano came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Conchas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pedro Goiano couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Fábio Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Nunes in the 53rd minute of the match. Fábio Cearense came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Lavajinha SS's Erivaldo Vaz. But to his dismay, Erivaldo Vaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 62 minutes into the match, Waldemar Nunes notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Conchas's Fábio Cearense. Fábio Cearense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Franklin do Valle's late challenge caught a Conchas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franklin do Valle helped the player get up and apologised. If João Pedro Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lavajinha SS's Erivaldo Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conchas's Fábio Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Nunes in the 69th minute of play. Lavajinha SS's Abel de Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Lavajinha SS from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Abel de Andrade successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 77 minutes into the match, Lavajinha SS's goalkeeper Abel de Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramiro Bezerra. Valdemar de Senna hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A collision led to Lavajinha SS getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Valdemar de Senna hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Lavajinha SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ramiro Bezerra fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 84th minute, Almir Romero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abel de Andrade. The goal made the score 4-2. Franklin do Valle was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Lavajinha SS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
