The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. André Luiz Martins made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Yan Torres sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the match, Ubirataia FC's Hernani Dante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernesto Leão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. André Luiz Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Koehler in the 21st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Hernani Dante put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ernesto Leão. In the 32nd minute, Leonardo Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37thth minute of the game Hernani Dante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Safira C.F's Ernesto Leão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernani Dante in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernesto Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernani Dante's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Celso Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. André Luiz Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Hernani Dante's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Leão was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernani Dante to make the kick off. Yan Torres's late challenge caught a Ubirataia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yan Torres helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 played minutes Real Safira C.F got a freekick which was hit by Yan Torres. In the 56th minute Celso Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luiz Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yan Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernani Dante in the 60th minute of play. Ernesto Leão was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hernani Dante showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. Flavinho Sena hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Hernani Dante might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernani Dante ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute, Ubirataia FC's Hernani Dante ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ernesto Leão. Ernesto Leão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. After having played for 72 minutes, Wesley Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ubirataia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wesley Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Percival Borges hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Wesley Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Leão having to interfere. Wesley Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ernesto Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ubirataia FC booed when Real Safira C.F was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Safira C.F's Ernesto Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Real Safira C.F from getting a goal against them. Hernani Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leonardo Matorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Wesley Sousa notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Real Safira C.F's Ernesto Leão. Ernesto Leão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 94 minutes of play Real Safira C.F's Yan Torres was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ubirataia FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
