Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diogo Viana to make the kick off. Joélson Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joélson Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ronaldinho Galvão had great luck who in the 75thth minute grab hold of the ball when Diogo Viana from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Erivaldo Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serginho Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Joélson Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Despite being the better team, Parecis EC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
