The supporters of Tapa AD booed when Sabara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sabara's Cristian Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Sabara from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Ezequiel Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tapa AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zézinho Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Baiano in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Agostinho Baiano notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tapa AD's Zézinho Abreu. Zézinho Abreu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sabara's Alfredinho do Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 30 in the game by Ezequiel Ribeiro from a close distance when the talented Cristian Abraão managed to make a qualified save. Sabara's players were relieved. After having played for 33 minutes, Jaime Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapa AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Paraense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Ezequiel Ribeiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Zézinho Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agostinho Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Paraense was the one to do the kick off. Jaime Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Abraão having to interfere. If Jaime Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sabara's Cristian Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Ribeiro in the 59th minute of play. Jaime Paraense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tapa AD's Zézinho Abreu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Tapa AD from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute, Tapa AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alfredinho do Vale fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Baiano in the 65th minute of play forced Tapa AD's goalkeeper Zézinho Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Abraão having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game Jaime Paraense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sabara's Cristian Abraão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Tapa AD booed when Sabara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Paraense in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Abraão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Abraão didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Tapa AD's Ezequiel Ribeiro shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Tapa AD's Jaime Paraense got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Ezequiel Ribeiro made a precise shot to the right of Cristian Abraão. Sabara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Tapa AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
