Corinthians Paulistano's Jo Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jo Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zé Pedro Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dida Queiroz in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Naldo Reis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Paulinho Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliks Harbaszewski having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Corinthians Paulistano's goalkeeper Feliks Harbaszewski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Atalho SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Jo Seco scored to the left of an out of position Naldo Reis, making the score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jo Seco in the 38th minute of play forced Atalho SS's goalkeeper Naldo Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naldo Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jo Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Dida Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Naldo Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Corinthians Paulistano booed when Atalho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maicon Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jo Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jo Seco in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naldo Reis saved Atalho SS from getting behind. If Dida Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 minutes of play, Corinthians Paulistano's Jo Seco made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Naldo Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paulinho Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Feliks Harbaszewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliks Harbaszewski was a little too slow when Paulinho Aguiar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 2-1. Maicon Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maicon Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
