Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cipriano Tavares kicked off to start the match. Internacional's Cipriano Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tubibau's zone, Cipriano Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitório de Toledo came out of the goal and Cipriano Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nilton Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório de Toledo having to interfere. Vitório de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Nilton Cearense made a great header on Internacional's corner, it was just that Tubibau's Vitório de Toledo managed to reach the ball for a save. Rui Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nelsinho Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelsinho Ramalho came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Tubibau's Antônio de Godoi. But to his dismay, Antônio de Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Vitório de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Nelsinho Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Internacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Gomes to maneuver through the defense. Rui Santana charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rui Santana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rui Santana hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Cipriano Tavares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitório de Toledo was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Santana to make the kick off. Internacional's Nelsinho Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Santana in the 52nd minute of play. Eliézer Gonçalves succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 55th playminute. Luís Eduardo Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Santana in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho Ramalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nelsinho Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Santana in the 68th minute of the match. Eliézer Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. When Alfredão Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tubibau's protests and gave Alfredão Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. Alfredão Amorim hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 74 minutes, Edgard Cabral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Internacional and the Tubibau players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tubibau's Dorian Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 86 minutes, Jeferson Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tubibau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeferson Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute, Cipriano Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitório de Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cipriano Tavares in the 91st minute. Jeferson Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
