When Igor Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itajubaquara's protests and gave Igor Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Itajubaquara's Igor Fonseca got a free kick in the 15th minute. Donatello Andrade came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Calango Virgulino's Patrick Catarinense. But to his dismay, Patrick Catarinense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Agnaldo Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute, Agnaldo Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Calango Virgulino's Ademar Galvão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Calango Virgulino from getting a goal against them. Calango Virgulino's Patrick Catarinense got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrick Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiago Gabriel Loyola made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Calango Virgulino got a freekick which was hit by Fred Matorin. Donatello Andrade was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Patrick Catarinense capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Patrick Catarinense really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Agnaldo Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itajubaquara's supporters rose to their feet, but Agnaldo Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ademar Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Patrick Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Calango Virgulino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Catarinense couldn't finish the play. After 67 minutes of play, Calango Virgulino's Patrick Catarinense made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donatello Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Tiago Gabriel Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donatello Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Itajubaquara's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Catarinense came free, but Donatello Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donatello Andrade came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Calango Virgulino's Patrick Catarinense. But to his dismay, Patrick Catarinense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Catarinense in the 88th minute of play forced Itajubaquara's goalkeeper Donatello Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
