The audience was convinced that José Paulo Mandrak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulão Novaes was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Luciano Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Netto having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Loredo got a freekick which was hit by Gildo de Souza. The audience was convinced that Luciano Donato's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Netto was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Loredo's Frank Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Borges in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, José Paulo Mandrak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulão Novaes. The goal made the score 1-2.
