A collision led to Picada getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Toninho Arruda hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes Olinto AD got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Donatello. Dé Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Paulão Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Afonso Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olinto AD's protests and gave Afonso Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Olinto AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Koehler to maneuver through the defense. Cícero Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Paulão Novaes made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Toninho Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luciano Donato hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Picada's Paulão Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Picada from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute of the match, Cícero Santos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paulão Novaes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dé Brodel got free with Paulão Novaes in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th match minute, Olinto AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Teles to maneuver through the defense. Cesinha Borges's late challenge caught a Olinto AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesinha Borges helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Cesinha Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Afonso Koehler made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Sílvio Catarinense had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Afonso Koehler was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Picada booed when Olinto AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Arruda in the 71st minute of play forced Olinto AD's goalkeeper Guilherme de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulão Novaes came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Olinto AD's Cícero Santos. But to his dismay, Cícero Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 78 minutes into the game, Dráusio Vergílio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Picada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olinto AD the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Picada:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Olinto AD:s goal. Paulão Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Brodel in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Olinto AD's Cícero Santos got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute Toninho Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute Guto Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulão Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Picada's Paulão Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Santos in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Picada players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Olinto AD.
