After a defensive mix-up in Chester FC's zone, Cemal Tezalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo Soeiro came out of the goal and Cemal Tezalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adriano Amaral was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Turgay Tutku took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diogo Soeiro. Diogo Soeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 36th minute, Chester FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cemal Tezalp fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 38 played minutes Grëmio FBNH got a freekick which was hit by Srdjan Filimon. Mário Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amauri Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diogo Soeiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cemal Tezalp showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 41 minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerson Batista was the one to do the kick off. Chester FC's Diogo Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Carneiro in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Turgay Tutku had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diogo Soeiro. Chester FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Turgay Tutku was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Mário Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerson Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Cemal Tezalp might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diogo Soeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerson Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Cemal Tezalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerson Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerson Batista in the 94th minute of play forced Grëmio FBNH's goalkeeper Mário Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grëmio FBNH's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
