Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alexsandro Madureira kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Ulisses Cardoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hortêncio Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Tiago Gabriel Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Madureira in the 10th minute of play forced Ajax's goalkeeper Murillo Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hortêncio Braga hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Ajax's Murillo Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulisses Cardoso in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Hortêncio Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ajax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hortêncio Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodrigo Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tiago Gabriel Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ajax made a substitution. Carlos Fernando Castro replaced Bruninho Dante. After a rather tough play, C.A. Paulistano's Alexsandro Madureira got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Tiago Gabriel Lago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hortêncio Braga in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute, Ulisses Cardoso made a precise shot to the right of Murillo Luz. Ajax's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 29th minute, Perivaldo Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Ulisses Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Murillo Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulisses Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th match minute, C.A. Paulistano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Coelho to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Paulistano's zone, Rodrigo Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Gabriel Lago came out of the goal and Rodrigo Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Braga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tiago Gabriel Lago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Murillo Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro Madureira in the 43rd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frederico Paraibano made a kick off. Ajax's Rodrigo Mazza got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ajax booed when C.A. Paulistano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ajax's Frederico Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ulisses Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the C.A. Paulistano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulisses Cardoso couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, one of C.A. Paulistano:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C.A. Paulistano. Hudson Faria shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Tomás Romero hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
