The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gilvan Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Peres in the 40th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Décio Moura was the one to do the kick off. After 80 played minutes Malica got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Leal. Evandro Arce took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilvan Campidelis. Malica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ana maria players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Malica.
