Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rodolfo Arce took the kick off in the first half of the match. Geral Grêmio's Chiquinho Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Cearense in the 3rd minute of play. Malica's Rodolfo Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giovani Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Campidelis having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Gilvan Campidelis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Geral Grêmio's Lauro Teles got a free kick in the 11th minute. Giovani Alves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilvan Campidelis having to make a save. After 19 minutes, Donato Dante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malica and the Geral Grêmio players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Malica got a freekick which was hit by Donato Dante. Otávio Ceresso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilvan Campidelis. Malica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Giovani Alves fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geral Grêmio's protests and gave Giovani Alves a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Arce in the 26th minute of play forced Geral Grêmio's goalkeeper Chiquinho Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes, Geral Grêmio's Otávio Ceresso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilvan Campidelis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Geral Grêmio reached it. When Geral Grêmio's José Pedro Santos in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Malica's goalie prevented a goal. After 35 played minutes Geral Grêmio got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Corrêa. After some careless play in the Malica defense, Giovani Alves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilvan Campidelis. The Malica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilvan Campidelis should have stopped the shot. Gilvan Campidelis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Flavinho Corrêa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. Malica's Gilvan Campidelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Malica from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Pedro Santos was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, José Pedro Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilvan Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovani Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Giovani Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gilvan Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geral Grêmio's José Pedro Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Pedro Santos struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Gilvan Campidelis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geral Grêmio. Conrado da Silva hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Geral Grêmio's Giovani Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute, José Pedro Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Malica's Rodolfo Arce got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Lauro Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of Malica booed when Geral Grêmio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Malica's goal looked a bit too open when Giovani Alves came free, but Gilvan Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Geral Grêmio were the better team. Geral Grêmio's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
