After a rather tough play, Mairinque's Antônio Gonçalves got a free kick in the 4th minute. Jacinto Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Palmeira having to interfere. Mairinque's Roger Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juvenal Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Roger Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mairinque's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Cauã Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 19 minutes, Jacinto Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ponagua SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Cardozo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitório de Medeiros hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Mairinque's Cauã Furtado tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Fernando Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Juvenal Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitório de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Roger Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Zonta having to interfere. Zé Mota hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Juvenal Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fernando Magalhães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fernando Magalhães in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Palmeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tostão Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Natã Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Fernando Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vitório de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Palmeira having to interfere. If Juvenal Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenal Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Cardozo in the 89th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Luiz Fernando Magalhães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juvenal Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mairinque players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ponagua SS.
