In the 5th minute, Evaristo Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Branco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Válbson Gonçalves when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rubinho Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Válbson Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Fred Sarmento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aguazinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BRASILIENSE FC the free kick. 15 minutes into the match, Aguazinha's goal looked a bit too open when Renato de Castro came free, but Válbson Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Renato de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. BRASILIENSE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válbson Gonçalves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the match, BRASILIENSE FC's Samuel Branco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válbson Gonçalves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 28 minutes, Mateus Maia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aguazinha and the BRASILIENSE FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mateus Maia hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Umberto Bezerra got free with Válbson Gonçalves in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Aguazinha defense, Rubinho Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Válbson Gonçalves. The Aguazinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Válbson Gonçalves should have stopped the shot. Válbson Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Samuel Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to BRASILIENSE FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Matheus Loyola hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Branco in the 46th minute of play forced Aguazinha's goalkeeper Válbson Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aguazinha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Renato de Castro scored to the left of an out of position Válbson Gonçalves, making the score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Mazza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aguazinha's Válbson Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato de Castro in the 55th minute of play. Renato de Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Válbson Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Samuel Branco took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Válbson Gonçalves. Válbson Gonçalves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 65 minutes of play Aguazinha's Fred Sarmento was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 65 played minutes Aguazinha got a freekick which was hit by Fred Sarmento. The BRASILIENSE FC fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when BRASILIENSE FC's Renato de Castro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Samuel Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válbson Gonçalves having to interfere. Samuel Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BRASILIENSE FC's Renato de Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evaristo Mazza charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evaristo Mazza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of BRASILIENSE FC booed when Aguazinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. When BRASILIENSE FC's Samuel Branco in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aguazinha's goalie prevented a goal. Válbson Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato de Castro in the 94th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. BRASILIENSE FC had played much better football throughout.
