Vladimir Tinoco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Otávio Marques got free with Juan Prata in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute of the match, Eliézer Santana tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juan Prata saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 14th minute Eliézer Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Brama booed when Limoeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Brama's Egídio Paes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alexandre Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Agostinho Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Prata having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Limoeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio Marques came free, but Juan Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Santana in the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Limoeiro getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ediberto dos Santos hit a great ball. Eliézer Santana's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Juan Prata skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jorginho de Brito made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Limoeiro's Alexandre Araújo. In the 47th match minute, Brama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Veiga to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimir Tinoco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ediberto dos Santos was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Egídio Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Gino de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limoeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Santana in the 61st minute of play forced Limoeiro's goalkeeper Juan Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Zonta in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Limoeiro's Hudson Netto. In the 72nd match minute, Brama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Zonta to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto dos Santos in the 74th minute of play forced Brama's goalkeeper Vladimir Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gino de Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th play minute Ediberto dos Santos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vladimir Tinoco. 1-2. The supporters of Limoeiro booed when Brama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimir Tinoco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ediberto dos Santos in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, Eliézer Santana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Prata was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. When Ediberto dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Limoeiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ediberto dos Santos couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute Eliézer Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
