Alex Cooper was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gualter Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alex Cooper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Calabar's Raí Cunha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tadeo Fernendo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Calabar's Osvaldo Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
