Nelsinho Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Martins having to interfere. If Romário Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovânio Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. A collision led to Electro getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Artur Fontes hit a great ball. Lúcio Meirelles's late challenge caught a Electro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Meirelles helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Eubanque EC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Lúcio Meirelles hit a great ball. When João Adolfo Rossi fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eubanque EC's protests and gave João Adolfo Rossi a yellow card for diving instead. 24 minutes into the game, one of Eubanque EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dário da Silveira placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Eubanque EC's Vivaldo Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Bertassi in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Electro's Romário Bertassi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vivaldo Martins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 33 minutes into the game, Romário Bertassi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Vivaldo Martins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vivaldo Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romário Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dênis Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Geovânio Perez made a huge save. After 39 played minutes Electro got a freekick which was hit by Lorenz Masas. In the 40th minute Lúcio Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovânio Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Bertassi in the 41st minute of play forced Eubanque EC's goalkeeper Vivaldo Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, Eubanque EC's Vivaldo Martins got control of the ball when Romário Bertassi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vivaldo Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Bertassi in the 53rd minute of the match. Clóvis Meira's late challenge caught a Electro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clóvis Meira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Eubanque EC's Clóvis Meira got a free kick in the 54th minute. Vivaldo Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romário Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dênis Magalhães in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovânio Perez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geovânio Perez came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Eubanque EC's Dênis Magalhães. But to his dismay, Dênis Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 64th minute, Romário Bertassi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Nelsinho Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vivaldo Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romário Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geovânio Perez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lúcio Meirelles went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Electro's Romário Bertassi got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 86 minutes, Lúcio Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eubanque EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lúcio Meirelles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 95 minutes Electro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Christian das Neves who took care of the corner kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Electro walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
