Adriano Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adriano Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dário Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valério Carvalho in the 4th minute of play. Gil Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Ruy Vianna made a huge save. Dário Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kiko Maciel in the 12th minute of play. Uberaba FC's Dário Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Carvalho in the 19th minute of play. Filipe Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ruy Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valério Carvalho in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dário Linhares saved Uberaba FC from getting behind. Dário Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valério Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Dário Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Augusto Rezende in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uberaba FC's Ismael de Queirós. After a rather tough play, falcão's Túlio Lima got a free kick in the 35th minute. Kiko Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Linhares having to interfere. If Ismael de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Uberaba FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ricardinho Neves hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kiko Maciel was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Uberaba FC booed when falcão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruy Vianna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gil Cordeiro went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Dário Linhares made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Valério Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. Uberaba FC's Dário Linhares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Uberaba FC from getting a goal against them. 69 minutes into the game, Augusto Rezende threw the ball into play from the sideline. Uberaba FC's Ismael de Queirós quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Valério Carvalho scored 1-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dário Linhares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 75 played minutes Uberaba FC got a freekick which was hit by Gil Cordeiro. Gil Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute of the match Hugo Paranaense sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dário Linhares skillfully saved the ball. Vito das Neves's late challenge caught a falcão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vito das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. Dário Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiko Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Valério Carvalho came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dário Linhares could save by the left post. Uberaba FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
