Ismael de Queirós got in the 4th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Fiori das Neves handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Dário Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernani de Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The supporters of Aposento SC booed when Uberaba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Aposento SC defense, Gil Cordeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fiori das Neves. The Aposento SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fiori das Neves should have stopped the shot. When Gil Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Uberaba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the game, Eduardo Vianna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aposento SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uberaba FC the free kick. The supporters of Uberaba FC booed when Aposento SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Barbosa during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes Aposento SC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Barbosa. Fiori das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes Uberaba FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismael de Queirós. In the 33rd match minute, Uberaba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uberaba FC! The referee gave Aposento SC a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Basílio Barbosa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Uberaba FC's Dário Linhares. 1-1. Fiori das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Flavinho Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélder Mendes charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hélder Mendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hélder Mendes hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With a little luck, Uberaba FC's Dário Linhares got control of the ball when Hélder Mendes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hélder Mendes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dário Linhares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Serginho Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uberaba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aposento SC the free kick. In the 60th minute, Serginho Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aposento SC's Fiori das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Cordeiro in the 63rd minute of play. After 65 minutes of play, Uberaba FC's Gil Cordeiro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fiori das Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! 68 minutes into the match, Uberaba FC's goalkeeper Dário Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélder Mendes. Gil Cordeiro scored 3-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fiori das Neves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th match minute, Aposento SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Mendes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Aposento SC booed when Uberaba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Hernani de Toledo took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Dário Linhares to make any attempt to save it. If Flavinho Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st match minute, Uberaba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Aposento SC's Geovânio Linares got a free kick in the 95th minute. Uberaba FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
