Gilmar Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Cardoso in the 8th minute of play. Doriva Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Pangare's Jaime Coutinho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Real Minas. With a little luck, Pangare's Dedé dos Santos got control of the ball when Cristian Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Bueno in the 20th minute of play forced Pangare's goalkeeper Dedé dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dedé dos Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oséias Vidal went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Sidney Mazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilmar Almeida was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Gilmar Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zézinho Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gilmar Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Pangare's goalkeeper Dedé dos Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Bueno. Gilmar Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Cardoso in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Pangare's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oséias Vidal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Egídio Paranaense charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egídio Paranaense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Real Minas's Egídio Paranaense got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zézinho Cardoso was the one to do the kick off. Zézinho Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zézinho Cardoso got free with Gilmar Almeida in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sidney Mazza in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gilmar Almeida, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dedé dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Bueno in the 65th minute of play. Oséias Vidal got in the 67th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dedé dos Santos handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Cardoso in the 70th minute of play forced Real Minas's goalkeeper Gilmar Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Henrique Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pangare's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilmar Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 78 minutes, Sidney Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pangare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidney Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pangare's Dedé dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséias Vidal in the 79th minute of play. Cristian Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Dedé dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Cristian Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Minas's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Bueno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dedé dos Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doriva Amaral's late challenge caught a Pangare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doriva Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. Doriva Amaral hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When Pangare's Sidney Mazza, in the 95th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Pangare.
