With a little luck, Juari SS's Dedé Salles got control of the ball when Beto da Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiaguinho Nascimento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Tiaguinho Nascimento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dedé Salles was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game.
