Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pedro Luiz Rocha started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Pedro Luís Terra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gilson Nascimento, 1-0. After having played for 7 minutes, Pedro Luiz Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipitangueiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luiz Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute, one of Ipitangueiros:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ipitangueiros. Inácio Bezerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walmyr Sabóia during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ipitangueiros booed when Cordeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Pedro Luiz Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipitangueiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luiz Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Walmyr Sabóia was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 19 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Cordeiro's Walmyr Sabóia got a free kick in the 20th minute. Pedro Luiz Rocha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Gilson Nascimento when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pedro Luiz Rochas short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Gilson Nascimento to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Luiz Rocha got free with Gilson Nascimento in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ipitangueiros's Luiz Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson Prado in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Pedro Luiz Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gilson Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 38 played minutes Cordeiro got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Vidal. After having played for 39 minutes, Pedro Luiz Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipitangueiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luiz Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gualter Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cordeiro's protests and gave Gualter Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Gualter Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Cordeiro's Gilson Nascimento got control of the ball when Eriberto de Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kléberson Prado to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Cordeiro defense, Eriberto de Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilson Nascimento. The Cordeiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilson Nascimento should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cordeiro's goalkeeper Gilson Nascimento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliézer Vidal during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 played minutes Cordeiro got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Vidal. Gilson Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Inácio Bezerra came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ipitangueiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Bezerra couldn't finish the play. Gilson Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Rocha in the 65th minute of the match. Inácio Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Nascimento having to interfere. In the 77th minute Eriberto de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cordeiro's Gualter Andrade got a free kick in the 77th minute. The supporters of Cordeiro booed when Ipitangueiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Paulo de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério de Azevedo in the 80th minute of play forced Cordeiro's goalkeeper Gilson Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Inácio Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipitangueiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Bezerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilson Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilson Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Rocha in the 84th minute of play. Gilson Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Eriberto de Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Ipitangueiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto de Sousa couldn't finish the play. Pedro Luís Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilson Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto de Sousa in the 95th minute of play. Ipitangueiros's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
