When Samuca Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cara EC's protests and gave Samuca Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cara EC's Samuca Cunha got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cara EC's zone, Tostão Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Pena came out of the goal and Tostão Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Cunha in the 11th minute of play forced Jacurutu AD's goalkeeper Cipriano Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Tostão Pires had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelinho Gerber during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jacurutu AD made a substitution. Gilson Urbano replaced Tostão Pires. Marcelinho Gerber hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute of the match Edmundo Chaves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Pena showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jacurutu AD's Cipriano Linhares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Jacurutu AD from getting a goal against them. Marcus Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute Gilson Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Jacurutu AD's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Cunha came free, but Cipriano Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Pena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilson Urbano's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiko Carneiro in the 36th minute of play forced Cara EC's goalkeeper Marcus Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cara EC's Samuca Cunha got his second yellow card of the match in the 40th minute. The referee ordered Samuca Cunha off the ground. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilson Urbano in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Pena saved Cara EC from getting behind. In the 43rd match minute, Cara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute Marcelinho Gerber suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilson Urbano during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilson Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Mateus de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Cipriano Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilson Urbano to make the kick off. With his leg Marcus Pena managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Jacurutu AD's Gilson Urbano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marcus Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiko Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The supporters of Jacurutu AD booed when Cara EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cacá Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Cara EC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mateus de Lima hit a great ball. Mateus de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cipriano Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateus de Lima in the 70th minute of the match. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cara EC's goalkeeper Marcus Pena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Gilson Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Jacurutu AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilson Urbano couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 80 in the game by Gilson Urbano from a close distance when the talented Marcus Pena managed to make a qualified save. Cara EC's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Cara EC's Cacá Bezerra got a free kick in the 86th minute. Mateus de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Cipriano Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateus de Lima in the 95th minute of play. Jacurutu AD were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
