In the 20th minute Frédson do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio de Senna in the 28th minute of play forced Bacaubas's goalkeeper Carlinhos Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guloso. Dedê Barral hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
