Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Iatoba's Dráusio de Azevedo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rui Donato took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tiago de Godoi. Squadra Borges Azzura's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tiago de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Tiago de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago de Godoi having to interfere. Squadra Borges Azzura's Tiago de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubens Passos in the 16th minute of play. Tiago de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiago de Godoi came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Iatoba's Marcel Marques. But to his dismay, Marcel Marques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, Iatoba's goalkeeper Adolfo Gonçalves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zézinho Leão. When Cícero Marques fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iatoba's protests and gave Cícero Marques a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Cícero Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Squadra Borges Azzura's João Carlos Correia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Iatoba's Marcel Marques in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Squadra Borges Azzura's goalie prevented a goal. Adolfo Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Peres in the 45th minute of the match. The Squadra Borges Azzura players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Iatoba were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reinaldo Peres was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Zézinho Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Marcel Marques notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Squadra Borges Azzura's Tiago de Godoi. Tiago de Godoi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Laerte Mendes hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 69thth minute of the game Zézinho Leão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Iatoba's Adolfo Gonçalves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tiago de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio de Azevedo in the 70th minute of play. Iatoba's Adolfo Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Peres in the 74th minute of play. In the 81st minute Dráusio de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Squadra Borges Azzura's Laerte Mendes got a free kick in the 81st minute. When Marcel Marques came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Iatoba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Marques couldn't finish the play. Marcel Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago de Godoi having to interfere. If Dráusio de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Zézinho Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Squadra Borges Azzura's supporters rose to their feet, but Zézinho Leão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Gonçalves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dráusio de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
