Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when André Luiz Vieira kicked off to start the match. Frederico Magalhães came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Mozondo's Vítor Donatello. But to his dismay, Vítor Donatello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thomás Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Magalhães having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mozondo's goalkeeper Gilberto da Mata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ademir Passos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilberto da Mata having to make a save. Ademir Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto da Mata having to interfere. If Ronaldão Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Ronaldão Tinoco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto da Mata. Mozondo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldão Tinoco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 33 played minutes FLAMENGO got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto de Azevedo. 37 minutes into the match, FLAMENGO's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz Vieira came free, but Frederico Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademir Passos in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mozondo's zone, Ronaldão Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto da Mata came out of the goal and Ronaldão Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frederico Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute André Luiz Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ademir Passos was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, FLAMENGO's Frederico Magalhães got control of the ball when Vítor Donatello tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Mozondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Diniz to maneuver through the defense. The Mozondo fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Mozondo's Vítor Donatello looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vítor Donatello scored 1-3 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frederico Magalhães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacinto Marinho hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Gilberto da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademir Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the game, FLAMENGO's Ademir Passos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto da Mata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Bebeto de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Vítor Donatello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ademir Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Ademir Passos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ronaldão Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes, Bebeto de Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FLAMENGO and the Mozondo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 played minutes FLAMENGO got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto de Azevedo. In the 89th minute of the match Sandro Queiroz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frederico Magalhães showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
