Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) PAYSANDU's Diamantino Brasil started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur de Amaral in the 3rd minute of play forced Beirao SS's goalkeeper Toninho Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toninho Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Clóvis de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Simão Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simão Siqueira made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Clóvis de Barros sent off a good shot on target. Eriberto Andrade hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Clóvis de Barros's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Simão Siqueira firmly grabbed it by the left post. 18 minutes into the match, PAYSANDU's goalkeeper Simão Siqueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clóvis de Barros. 20 minutes into the game, PAYSANDU's Diamantino Brasil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toninho Cerezo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Diamantino Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arthur de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Toninho Cerezo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PAYSANDU. Kléberson Tavares charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kléberson Tavares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of PAYSANDU booed when Beirao SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléberson Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Cerezo came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by PAYSANDU's Diamantino Brasil. But to his dismay, Diamantino Brasil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. PAYSANDU's Arthur de Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Miguel Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Brasil in the 46th minute of play forced Beirao SS's goalkeeper Toninho Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Mendonça in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusébio Mendonça made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Diamantino Brasil dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Toninho Cerezo, 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cléber Gaspar during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Arthur de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeferson Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Diamantino Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toninho Cerezo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diamantino Brasil's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Arthur de Amarals short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Toninho Cerezo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arthur de Amaral got free with Toninho Cerezo in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute, Gustavo Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Ortiz succeeded in the game's 77th minute to get real power on a long shot . PAYSANDU's Simão Siqueira hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-3! A collision led to Beirao SS getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Donato Castro hit a great ball. After some careless play in the PAYSANDU defense, Clóvis de Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simão Siqueira. The PAYSANDU fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simão Siqueira should have stopped the shot. Clóvis de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Simão Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clóvis de Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
