Aracas's Alfredo Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã dos Santos in the 5th minute of play. Alfredo Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauã dos Santos in the 10th minute of the match. Alfredo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute Paulo José Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo José Xavier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes EC Guará - FPEMZ got a freekick which was hit by João Adolfo Camargo. In the 23rdth minute of the game Kauã dos Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aracas's Alfredo Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Torgeir Lie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Moura in the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 34 minutes, Paulo José Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Guará - FPEMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo José Xavier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Amaral came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Guará - FPEMZ's Kauã dos Santos. But to his dismay, Kauã dos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cido Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Amaral having to interfere. Kauã dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alfredo Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Moura was the one to do the kick off. EC Guará - FPEMZ's Torgeir Lie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Moura in the 53rd minute of play. Alfredo Amaral made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Paulo José Xavier sent off a good shot on target. Samuel Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Torgeir Lie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kauã dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Amaral having to interfere. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Aracas! Paulo José Xavier might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo José Xavier ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, João Adolfo Camargo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of EC Guará - FPEMZ booed when Aracas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kauã dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulo José Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Alfredo Amaral managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when EC Guará - FPEMZ's Paulo José Xavier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cido Favoretto got free with Alfredo Amaral in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frédson Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Alfredo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauã dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. EC Guará - FPEMZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
